SEMIEXPO Vietnam was a pivotal event, exploring opportunities for businesses across the semiconductor value chain, from assembly and testing, to fabless/design. At SEMIEXPO Vietnam 2025, UET CHIP⁺ played a key supporting role across the Student Bootcamp, TalentCONNECT, and Chip-on-Wheels activities. The team helped coordinate over 300 STEM students, assisted guest speakers and exhibitors, and facilitated interactions with industry mentors from global semiconductor companies, with their participation in TalentCONNECT-alongside representatives from Micron, Sandisk, UNDP, and leading universities-providing valuable exposure to real-world semiconductor career pathways. Their engagement not only strengthened student-industry connections but also showcased the enthusiasm and readiness of UET students to take part in Vietnam’s emerging semiconductor ecosystem.
The event provided invaluable hands-on experience in organization, communication, and industry exposure-further preparing UET CHIP⁺ members for future careers in semiconductor technology.
Quang Minh Vu, K68, the 3rd Gen of E3, got GPESS scholarship from Samsung Electronics for his Msc course in Electronics Engineering at KAIST-School of Electrical Engineering, Daejeon, South Korea. 2-year contract with Samsung electronics in Suwon was committed after the Msc course.
Eighty students, from twelve countries, came together to immerse themselves in the world of semiconductor R&D and technology at the annual Eindhoven Semicon Summer School (ESSS), now in its third edition. This prestigious program for worldwide top talent covers the full semicon value chain – from equipment and devices to circuits, systems and applications. The ESSS is organized by Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) together with key partners ASML, NXP, ASM, TSMC and SmartPhotonics. Photo: Duc-Anh Le (far right, E3 Group Member to the event).
In the summer of 2025, GSSSP scholars Long Nguyen, Nhi Nguyen, and Tuan Hoang from the E3 group participated in an internship program at Samsung Electronics' DS Division. This opportunity allowed them to gain firsthand experiencein the semiconductor industry and apply their academic knowledge to real-world settings.
The students explored various departments, took part in site tours, and attended technology sessions, which gave them a deeper understanding of the semiconductor field. They also experienced Korean traditions by wearing Hanbok and visiting historical sites, enriching their cultural knowledge.
This internship successfully combined industrial exposure with cultural immersion, marking a significant milestone for the GSSSP scholars on their path to becoming global leaders.
